oh me, oh my, I think I'm gonna die..

..oh meee, oh my, I think I'm gonna die!

If you're a fan of East Coast music you should now have an earworm for the day!

I got back from the Crafter's garage sale a few hours ago, and after several hours of laying motionless on the couch, a dinner of pad thai GRACIOUSLY picked up by my dh and a few more hours lying on the couch watching the kids play with balloons and watching Kung Fu Panda - I feel as if the bus that hit me was NOT jet-powered straight from hell like it seemed a few hours ago.

I wonder why I feel like lead after events like this. School events, Scrapbook days, craft sales - you'd think I'd be getting used to them. But it seems like they place a huge strain on me physically. I'm actually old enough to start wondering if this is a problem in the long run. I mean, sure I feel like death now, and I'll be sore tomorrow, but why? There was no incredible physical exertion - and I don't feel this way after a hard day in the garden - even the first one of the year. Yet I feel like lead. Lead that hurts. Hmmmmm.... I'll have to look it up.

I have to get more information because I can't start planning another big event till I know if they're ACTUALLY going to kill me, or just make me wish I were dead.

Enqiring minds!

National Scrapbook Day activities at Bouquet of Pixels

Sadly, I won't be much a part of these festivities, but that shouldn't stop YOU from having some fun! Have a blast, girls, and I'll join you when I can!

So what do you think of these GORGEOUS pictures taken my my sister? Pretty cool eh? Who knew a kid could look so cute at an air-hockey table in a McD's playland!

This is another page I did using the charity collab, "For The Kids" (see a couple of posts down for the links) and some word art by Inkin' Creations from BOP. Very cool stuff, Erika!

....and here are the projects from my first SU! workshop

Here it is, finally, the projects we made at my very first Stampin' Up! workshop. I *tried* to keep it simple, but really this is the advanced class, so we kind of went to town! I had so much fun, even though I was really nervous. I don't explain things well, especially out loud... really makes ya' wonder why I took this job, doesn't it? Hmmm....

My latest digi page using For The Kids

So this is my first layout using For The Kids from Bouquet of Pixels. I made it a few days ago but I'm really not finding a lot of time for uploading and blogging these days. There's so much going on my my 'real' life and I'm really trying to stay 'present' with it all, not let myself procrastinate the big stuff. Well the little stuff is suffering a bit. Anyway, blah blah blah, here are some cute pix of R building a pillow tower and an adorable kit with proceeds going to a good cause!

For The Kids charity collaboration at BOP

Bouquet of Pixels designers created this charity collab for Linda's (Linda's Dream Designs) nephew & his family. Linda is a designer here in our store.

Here's a little of their story: Joey and his wife, Karri, have 5 children: Kylie (12), Emily (10), Nathan (9), Cayden (8), and Braden (6). They were among the families tragically affected by the tornadoes in Oklahoma in February of 2009. They had a fire in their home during these storms, and they lost everything. They were unable to afford insurance and are, therefore, left with absolutely nothing. Their fire was due to the grass fires that happened and the storm winds stoked the fire that caught their home on fire. Thankfully, nobody was home at the time it happpened, and they are all safe. They are staying with family for a short time.

This fun collaboration includes 84 papers (300 dpi) and 119 elements. Also included are 2 templates (psd and png files) and 1 FULL alpha! Don't pass up this amazing deal and let's help Linda's nephew and family! Thanks!

This great kit is only available until May 1st, so grab it while you can! All profits will go to the family mentioned above.

Now, as for the above post, I'll be creating some Quickpages to sell at the store, along with other Creative Team members. PLUS, there will be a few little freebie brag book page just to say thanks for supporting this effort. I'll keep ya' posted. Honest!

(sooooo much to tell ;o)
See ya' later, have a great day!

365 days 15, 16 and 17

I've been falling behind a little here...
Day 15 is all about how CRAZY my schedule is! For a sahm with no job, 2 kids under 5 with NO serious lessons... I don't get how I have such a crammed week!

Day 16 Just a really fun layout I did for the SCS Friday night scraps party. The challenge was to use chipboard, metal and Val's template.

Day 17, Just another sweet picture of wee Raifey at the scrap table.

Be my valentine

Hmmm... it feels a little redundant posting this on the CT blog and here, so I'll just post the pic and a LINK to the Bouquet of Pixels Creative Team blog. Oh yeah, I'm a lazy blogger!

Day 14

I wasn't sure which picture of the cat to use as my POTD - but this one shows how she's 'nested' on my scrap table, which shows how long it's been since I occupied said table... I need to get back in the swing of daily or near daily work. I'm not gettin' much done these days! Here's hoping my next photo will be of a completed page!

Day 13

Day 13 - bits, bits, bits...
My house is filled with bits! Beads, sequins, rocks, fossils, sea shells, coloured glass, ribbons, BONES (!), trinkets, sea glass, jewelry (broken or whole), stickers and miniatures... my house is FILLED with them - and all the associated bit-holders, like this jar filled with 'lucky charms' by my dd.

bits! aaarrrggh!!
